This pattern is rather large, with a stitch count of 366×258 (which means a finished size of 27″x19″ on 14 or 28 count fabric).  The detail in this pattern is stunning, which you can see by the many different shades of blue in the water!  Although this design is large, it is made up of only full cross stitches, so no fractionals or backstitching.

This sweet baby boy loves his blankee. It reminds me of my oldest son (now 18) when he was a toddler. He loved his “blankee”! His was yellow and he carried it around until it was literally falling apart! That’s where this design got it’s name – Blankee Baby Matthew. This pattern is free from today (July 10) through next Thursday (July 16). Ok – it’s been brought to my attention that the blog is in much need of a new post!    So, here it is!  My apologies for not posting much lately.    I’ve added a couple of free patterns.  One is a fairly easy one – Swirly Flowers – that has all whole cross stitches.  There’s no backstitching or quarter stitches.    The stitch count is 81×114, so the finished size on 14 or 28 count would be 5.8″ x 8.1″.

Bright, fun and easy to stitch.

Because there are so many different types of stitchers, we’ve got a really large art pattern available for free as well.  This is just beautiful!  This is based on original art by Frank Bramley.  The original painting, done in 1909, was oil on canvas.  The stitch count for this pattern is 324×446, for a finished size of 23×32 on 14 or 28 count fabric.
